My Money Counts 9.0 running in Windows XP developed a problem. I tried to reinstall from 2 different CDs and it wouldn't do anything. I installed it on an old computer running Windows Millenium. It installed properly, I copied it to a thumb drive and ran it from the thumb drive on that computer. It ran fine. I copied it to the XP computer and it does nothing. I tried running it from the thumb drive on the XP computer and it just sits there. I tried running in Millenium compatibility mode - still nothing. I don't understand. I've been running it on that computer with XP for years. Any ideas?

There could be multiple causes to this error, but the most common ones are related to the Windows functionality. Even if the software is able to run on the computer and Windows has problems, you will still get error. Try to install CCleaner and then click on the Registry. Scan the registry and delete the obsolete registry entries. After this procedure, reboot the computer and install it again and it should work.
Yes, this application belongs to the Parsons Technology, Inc. and it can be used because it's the official one. However, it seems that the software isn't actively used anymore, which means that you will have to acquire it through other means.
I've been told MoneyCounts will work on Windows 10 32bit. Is this true?

No, the software is not compatible with Windows 10. It doesn't even run in Windows 7 OS which is much older than Windows 10. A way to run the application in Windows 10 is through virtualization. You have to install a supported OS through VirtualBox or VMWare, but this also implies that you already have an installation disc in physical format or digital (ISO).
I want to download Parson's Technologies or something similar. Is Software Informer compatible?

No, Software Informer is not a financial application. S.I client is used to keep track of updates for your installed application. It can be downloaded for Windows, Mac or Android. When it's launched it scans the version of applications installed in your computers and it provides ways to download their updates. Money Counts is a financial application. Additionally, browse the database of Software Informer to look for any other alternative to Money Counts.
You can buy the application from the online resellers that still exist but there is no compatible version for Windows 7. In Windows 7, install XP Mode, then install Virtual PC and the application will run in XP compatibility while Windows 7 is working. This is the only way to make the application work.
No to 64 bit. But if you are using Windows 7, install or activate the Virtual XP module. Once activated, install MC. It works well for my W7. You may find some problems with printing. If you do, let me know.
I changed printers and now I can print reports, but can't print checks.

The checks and reports use different format when it comes to paper size. Open up a report and then go to File > Print. Select the printer and then press on Properties. From the layout, select the paper size which matches the report format and then attempt a new printing. I believe this is the fix for this issues. The printer can't print something correctly if the paper hasn't been selected properly.
Yes, MoneyCounts 9.0 can still be converted to Quicken or Quickbooks.
